Plus, old Pasqy didn’t really know her either, so maybe decides it would be better for her to not be aurora’s mom and save her the grief.
Because IT HURTS’ Jen was sort of another “Pasqualo” in a sense. More specifically, she was a reincarnation of the Pasqualo in GOD DAMMIT (the IT HURTS crappy prototype). We didn’t want her to look like a Pasqualo clone in PLEASE FORGIVE ME, because, well, she’s got nothing to do with Pasqualo now.
Plus since she’s not Pasqy’s mom anymore, it wouldn’t make sense for her to look exactly like her. At least that’s how we feel.
Josef and Grail teamed up for her new design. I’m a fan of her new hair; it’s a lot of fun to draw 🙂
EDIT: I misremembered the thing about Jen being the reincarnation of GD Pasq. That was an idea I once had and I just remembered I changed my mind. She WAS a “failed Pasqualo” in a sense, though.
Jesus Christ I had no idea there was a It Hurts prototype! After checking it out all I’ve gotta say is it’s weird seeing how close things are yet different, mostly Mark being a Christian and Ally being named Kirsten. Dad is his usual albeit too human self. Karen is…as I’d expect Pasqualo’s mom to be tbh. Tubsy is basically the same though, as he is eternal. Seems every incarnation the story just keeps getting better as so does the overall quality. Can’t wait for Please Forgive Me’s successor where Pasqy will be in college.
Why are people acting like Jen is so different? Other than her hair color she seems like the same ol’ jerk to me. I mean, she’s still a cyborg, but without an apocalypse she made a robot unicorn friend, seems like a logical move to me.
