When I was a kid I was convinced that all the different snacks come from the same factory and the “Party Mix” of assorted brands put together was what they swept off the floor and sold to people.
I still think it’s true, I’ve just stopped caring about eating floor snacks.

Back when people still went to supermarkets instead of sitting barricaded at home and getting food delivered in a van you could get big bags of “broken and malformed” biscuits for like 15% of what they would normally cost. I think they all get fed to pigs now (along with their recommended daily dose of plastic and cardboard). They just pile up a shit ton of slightly out of date or damaged biscuit boxes and tear them apart. Then they fish some of the cardboard and plastic out on a conveyor belt by blasting air at it or something. Whatever is left the pigs eat.
In conclusion: Floor snacks are probably safer to eat than pork.
Something that I’ve been thinking about is how this Ally and IH Ally have diverged. They’ve had very different development for obvious reasons, but it’s still neat to see how this Ally’s a bit less vulgar and more vulnerable.
Also, brain damage Pasqualo in panel 2 makes me laugh
Dudes, I didn’t even know IH had a sequel. Re-read all of IH over the past few days and I’m now up to date with PFM. Good stuff. A very enjoyable experience, in a mostly fun but also sometimes very depressing way. Good job making the characters fell like they are (mostly) the same people but in different circumstances.
I fear that you might pull a Devilman Lady at some point and Pasqualo gets killed and replaced by the “original”, or some other horrible thing happens to her, but that’s life I guess. If it was fair then she’d have the perfect life Pasqualo probably wanted Aurora to have. At least it makes me appreciate the time until such an even takes place even more. “Read every panel as if it was her last” and all that.

Also, my favourite snacks are probably plain old potato chips (salted or salt and vinegar), tortilla chips (salted) or nuts. Other snacks can be alright too but you can’t beat the classics.

1. Have you considered having guest comics or short one offs to fill the void during breaks? I know IH had guest comics and one offs are what other comic creators use to fill space while on hiatus.
2. In regards to Katie. I recently reread her introductory arc. I really like her as a character and found it interesting to reremember her initial difficulties with communication. She had big issues properly expressing herself and had a very chaotic inner monologue that signaled her deeprooted emotional repression. I was wondering if this was going to ever come back up. Doesn’t have to, and I’m not complaining. But it seems Katie has been much more the straight man to the other’s hijinks and not much has been seen about her struggles. Thank you and keep with the amazing job.
Thank you for your comments. Katie’s struggles aren’t really in the foreground much, are they? She’s mostly seen around her friends these days, who she feels comfortable chatting around. It could be that being friends with Pasq has helped her open up a bit, but it might be worth looking into later.
I just spent the past 3 days binging through It Hurts!! and this. These comics are some of the best stuff I’ve read in a long time, and I love the character writing and emotion in some of the heavier pages, and some of the jokes are ball busting (more so in P4GM). You guys keep up the good work, looking forward from when you come back from your break!! (Come back soon because now Pasq and Ally are gonna be stuck in my head for 3 days minimum and it’s gonna be hell)
I think Katie’s arc is going to be kind of subtle since she’s kinda on the more… adaptable end of the trauma spectrum. she’s very capable of recognizing and working on her problems in ways most of the other characters can’t, I suspect as a consequence of her upbringing. it’s even been a joke in previous incarnations (“Well, that’s my character arc” was, if I recall, a gag she shared with her dad)
it’d be interesting I think to explore that mindset, since it’s one that could go wrong very easily
I’m actually glad this is break right now, i spent almost all my freetime on memorial day weekend reading it hurts and this! Really good stuff, cant wait to see where the story goes!

One of things I most like about IH!! is Pasqualo and Allison just beating up on each other. Doesn’t quite work the same here.

Yes, they are! Stephanie is a member of the student council. I’m not sure what Frank is up to, but he’s there somewhere.
