So Pasqu-alpha’s vision of a perfect world obviously includes the exact same Dad-experience he went through because the dumbass really thought his dad was the best dad in the world.
I’m loving how this Dad has just completely rejected any kind of stoicism that the IH Dad had, in favor of revelling in just how much fun being a horrible prick is.
It’s weird, I’ve noticed quite the change in Dad from his IH and current PFM versions. Previously he quite literally was a immense self absorbed narcissistic, ego-maniacal, psychopathic genius with quite literally no sense of empathy or even the slightest hint of anything beyond pure apathy and even hatred/disgust for Pasqualo. I mean he’s still very much similar and a huge asshat to boot; but just judging from how relatively subdued he is towards Pasqualo in this incarnation I’d like to think there is some sort of ambivalence or even a sense of begrudging empathy down deep within his cold heart. I mean he at least isn’t trying to routinely poison, maim, or kill his own child anymore so that’s an improvement. Comic 19 kind of hinted this for me for some reason.
That’s because Pasqy 1 used to be a cyborg. Dad knew he couldn’t kill him, so he made joke attempts at doing so by feeding him poison and shit. Pasqy 2 is just a normal human. He never actually wanted to kill Pasqy 1, even if only to eventually shit on Jenny (seeing as how he’s a superior creation)/
not really, pasqualo’s dad being a bad parent and a bad person is just a universal constant like mark being a chess master or ally being a rampant troublemaker
