I don’t beleive you Gob when you say that nothing bad is gonna happen on strip 100 because this seems like somethin really bad is gonna happen because of this haha.
I can both it being reasonable to believe that nothing bad will happen and something bad will happen in the 100th/early 100s comic.
On the one hand, at the end of It Hurts, Harmony says “all the people who died in the apocalypse would have died soon enough anyway, and some of those deaths would have been much more protracted and miserable”. Which could imply that something worse was going to happen, but also could imply that, in the grand scheme, on a cosmic level all of them would die soon enough. If the former, then, given the fact that IIRC the apocalypse in It Hurts occurred while they were in middle school, and they are in high school now, it could very well be soon enough for the bad thing to happen. If the latter then nothing bad is bound to happen.
But that latter scenario isn’t really the big reason why I don’t think anything bad will happen, that is based on how this universe seems to be an attempted wish fulfillment for everyone that Pasqualo knew in life, regardless of if they really deserved it or not, and regardless of the practicalities of it.
I certainly hope there will be more to Please Forgive Me then that.
It Hurts, in very very strange ways, managed to barely clip some targets on both the Epic poem and the Hero’s journey shooting galleries and I can’t help but hope for more then yet another lesbian slice of life webcomic.
