GOB YOU SUNNUVABITCH YOU SAID COMIC 100 WASN’T GOING TO BE BE BIG LIKE IT HURTS, BUT NOW I UNDERSTAND WHAT IT IS.
Your art has gotten noticeably better. Like, this entire page is better than the piece of shit (in the best way possible) that was your art in IT HURTS!!. It looks cool being able to see your art style get markedly better, and it’s actually very inspiring. Your style is very expressive and cool, it reminds me of something like “What if that guy that always doodled in his notebooks in class PURSUED HIS CHILD/TEENAGE DREAM OF CREATING ART, OR A COMIC SERIES.”. And that’s what PLEASE FORGIVE ME is; the writing and overall story is not on the same grandiose and crazy scale, but it’s gotten more beautiful in it’s mundanity, and I would argue shows the true nature of the world that we may or may not experience in real life; how it can be both utterly terrifying one second, yet in another be unfathomably ephemerally beautiful.
In short, go fuck yourself, this sucks, and I hate you.
Oh, unless this comic was also a meta joke on how Grail helps you a lot with the art, too, thus further showing how you two being married together for this long also strengthens the beauty of the work that you can produce, simply through the power of pure, mutual, actualized love or something really gay and stupid like that.
While I agree with your sentiments, especially about how this series is marked by mundanity but better art, and likely share your frustration more then I may express, your comment is horrible for a couple of reasons.
The most obvious being your needless attacks on Gob being a horrible thing to do in general, as, at the end of the day,
this is HIS comic,
and artists do have a right to have their vision and we, at least aught to, have an obligation to respect that vision,
the less obvious reason is that by making an ass out of yourself, you weaken your argument. Anyone who might be on the fence about the direction Please Forgive Me would not be any more inclined to agree with you, or recognize any potential validity in what you have to say.
Lemme see…
-Robot super butt laser like what OG Pasqy used on his Mom?
-Sudden hidden power unleashed?
-A horrendous accident which shames Pasqy forever, scarring her?
-Charlotte has a fart fetish?
Kinda ironic that Pasqualo is freaked out by behavior that perfectly suits the previous Pasqualo.
I don’t think its ironic, though, I thought that this Pasq was supposed to be Aurora in essence.
At the end of It Hurts, Chaos and Harmony talk about how your body is not integral to who you are and that its the character of the characters (heh) that makes then who they are, like how Mark must be a grandmaster of chess and Ally must be a filthy ragamuffin, and Pasq points out that Aurora was a person as well and finds the clear logical loop hole in:
“as long as you two exist in the same universe, Aurora will be drawn to you and when she gets close, she will trigger the apocalypse”
and creates a universe where he has been replaced with Aurora.
Then again, I could be overthinking it.
Yea I agree and am aware. You are right, I just meant past Pasqualo as in name only since while a different “Soul” I guess you can say, they still are the same “person”, or filling the same role at least. Though the irony can come in a different sense as while she is made uneasy by this unwanted attention she was more than willing to stalk Katie.
I also think PFM is more of a spiritual successor than a direct sequel to IH as while the world and essence of it are the same, some integral things are different enough to differentiate the two into their own separate things without relying on the other necessarily. I would say this Pasqualo isn’t the one we saw at the end of IH per se; just that she is the realization of the idea of that new Pasqualo since while she definitely isn’t like the past incarnation Pasqy, she definitely isn’t fully Aurora.
As crazy as Charlotte’s one-sided love arrangement sounds, it’s actually pretty similar to the medieval European/Persian concept of fin’amor, or ‘courtly love’. Like an ideal knight or troubadour, she strives to be worthy of her idolized lady and would do anything to prove her ardor, all the while knowing that her physical desires towards that lady can never be fulfilled. It was considered to be a nobler form of love, existing on a spiritual level*.
I think It Hurts had a lot of situations like that, actually. Aurora’s love for Pasqualo was courtly because of the tragic consequences of them being together. Pasqualo’s love for his whole harem turned out kind of courtly by the end, because he couldn’t be with any of them and still just wanted to make them all happy.
*Then again, while people seem to have seriously believed in fin’amor as a concept, there’s little evidence that it was much practiced outside stories and poetry – except possibly to cover up affairs with married women.
I love this comic so much, even if it never loves me, I’m so happy just by being near.
Congratulations on 100 episodes!!
Thank you!
I can’t believe everyone is dead
this will not end well. I love it.
You’re a Swine… Ain’t he George?
Will that fart be set free or trapped inside the dark shitty tunnel?
ughh knowing that I was just like Charlotte at one point in my like makes this extra painful to read
Favorite part is Katie creeping on them in the background.
Comic 101 she farts so hard she kills a person
One Fart Woman.
I feel so bad for Charlotte. This is painful to read.

hehe Thank you so much for the compliment! I’ve got a looot of improving to do, but I’m glad that the art seems to be looking better these days.

Too bad that “super talented artist” has a throbbing erection for filler, god damn.
