I copped RPG maker while it was on sale. It’s a lot to take it, but seems really fun!
Out of curiosity, did you use MV? If so, do you remember how you imported your unique portraits for the characters, and the full screen art when Ally wakes up Pasq at the end of the game?
Yes! It’s a bit complicated, but I’ll try to explain. You’ll have to look in your game folder under “img.” Under “characters,” you’ll find example pictures of sprites. You can open one of those up, save it, and modify it if you’d like. That’s how I did it. By default, each sprite is 48×48 pixels. But you have to have them lined up in that grid-like image.
Under the “faces” folder, you’ll see all your character faces. Each face image is 144×144, but again, it’s gotta be arranged in that grid.
As for the full-screen art, I just drew each and then put each image in the “pictures” folder and displayed the pictures through events.
in the tags, is ‘the king of convenience’ this guy, or the wawa?

There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube. I learned a lot from this person. She’s a bit of a goofball, but very knowledgeable: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLKfkRwOhjU
Thank you so much!!
