It’s too valuable of an event for them, things would be very different without it, they need it for their storytelling and everything else, so as to bring it up every so often and keep things the way they are now and where they’re taking it. World at stake, even in fiction.
people got confused by this: early on I had a teacher talk about hitler getting arrested for the beer hall putsch and a lot of people didnt know that that was a thing that really happened so they thought it was an alt history thing that meant hitler never came to power. nope! his (ridiculously brief) stint in jail was when he wrote mein kampf.
I read a comic once where the characters foil a Nazi plot to get weapons and by the end Hitler’s plot fails and he’s arrested and I though it must be alternate history, and when I learned of the Beer hall putsch I was all pikachu faced
That comment about if she got a bunch of number tattoos made me think about the promised neverland and the possibility that a fan might have a numbered tattoo, based on the fact that the main characters have been numbered, and that being easily seen as something offensive.
