So I binged the entirety of IH!! and PFM!! over the course of about a week. It’s honestly been a pretty incredible and emotional journey. I went in expecting it to just be kinda goofy and fun. I was never expecting it to hit so hard. Was also not expecting to see so much of myself in both Pasqualos, especially in their most down of moments.
I’m glad that the comics never lose that sense of wackiness though, they never just drop into being totally dismal. I’m really glad I found your work and I hope you can keep going.
Thank you so much for reading. We’re very happy you’re enjoying the comics and that you can relate to the Pasqualos. I’m personally glad that you appreciate the humor. We both think that there should always be goofs.
You’re missing God Damn It! which is arguably the first part (I man it only had one exclamation mark) but it doesn’t seem to be online anymore. It was about proto-Pasqualo committing suicide so he can go to Heaven and kill God because his pet goldfish died. IIRC.
Oh it’s online, you just have to search it, seems the author doesn’t want to acknowledge its existence, thus like a cat burying its turd, the “prototype/pre-quel” is hidden on this site, you need to find the link.
It’s… rather rough, raw & raunchy… like the early episodes of South Park, but, it does serve as an ambiguous point of connection between it and “IH!!” having several back nods to it, such as certain entity having a soft spot for Pasqualo, while the opposite of that entity feels sorely cheeky towards him.
I view it as a version where Pasqualo had his (fatlol) mother around and thus grew less of an anxious wuss carried by Ally and Tubsy, but also grew more outrageously impulsive and determined.
If I remember correctly, the author claimed that it had to be dropped due to him writing himself into a corner, however I think that up to the part where the “Final Boss” Thanos snaps him to another reality, that’s the point where you connect it to IH!!.
Beyond that… it gets messy.
“One day, you’re gonna wake up, eat your breakfast, brush your teeth, go about your business. Then, sooner or later, you’re gonna realize you hadn’t thought about it. None of it. And that’s the moment you realize you can forget. When you know that’s possible, it all gets easier.”
Anyone “hears” these character’s voices when reading what the say?
For some reason I “hear” Pasq’s voice as that of a certain “Funimation” anime dub voice actress that’s trying really hard to sound like an anime “Genki” type character but it falls off the lower her mood drops or the more unstable her character gets at which point it sounds like the average american sitcom character from san francisco or california going through a withdrawal.
Katie “sounds” like a bizarre female Dexter (yeah the cartoon) but with a heavy nasal intonation bordering that of a snort at the end of her phrases and Lois Griffin’s raspy dragging of words + instead of Dexter’s accent, has the dry accent from… whatever the place her surname is from (either irak or iran).
Would be interesting to (if possible) hear another voice reel like that super hidden one from IH!!’s Pasqualo & Allison talking about cheeto dust, but with PFM!!! characters.
It should be
