I know that the new black and white style is because of you having less time, but has Pasqualo’s way of seeing the world gone through a big transformation since her fight with Allison? At least more so than usual?
Yes, my intention was to transition the style somewhat gracefully, and it seemed to fit with how Pasqualo was feeling after having gone through that ordeal with Ally. Like, this is a new low for her. Despite everything being a bit gray, I hope to make the style pop and be exciting when it’s necessary.
It didn’t even occur to me that it might be a necessary constraint on your part – I just assumed that it was a stylistic choice to represent the change in Pasqualo’s worldview. So mission accomplished on it being graceful!
You know, I thought I’d mind, but you’re doing a great job with the shading making the comic still work in B&W. Also you kind of gave yourself a good excuse in-story with Pasqualo being somehow more depressed than usual. But even if you didn’t, I get it, because kids are hard work! Congrats on the baby and I’m wishing you all the best
You’ve been at this for a long time, and before this it was It Hurts. As a writer, I understand how much it can take to do anything creative while also taking care of a kid, heck, I don’t even have any of my own, but I can’t write when my nieces and nephews are even in my room just playing video games. There is absolutely no shame in taking longer to upload or even stopping to just be a dad, despite how much some people like myself enjoy your work.
