It’s great to see Maggie’s character elaborated on beyond what very little we saw of her in the original IH. Also, once again Pasq 2.0’s total lack of willingness to enforce her boundaries is burning her. Literally. Sometimes you need to make the metaphor really, really obvious to get your point across to your absolute dummy of a main character, and even then it’s not guaranteed to enter her thick skull. Although it would be more fair to say she’s aware of the lesson she should’ve learned with the Charlotte incident, but she just doesn’t have the wherewithal to enforce it, especially when she’s already hit rock bottom and giving her shovel a good, hard to look to see if it can pierce bedrock.
