It was not a dream then, or a story gone horribly wrong within a story for shock value.
Well, seeing that firespider drink that off style drawn girl’s father was worth it, and I like the late afternoon sun going/gone down background.
Green haze daze girl got her in this mess, least she could do is tell her that the preggo girl was fked anyhow, sooner or later her father would’ve figured out and done her in like he did her mother.
If you think about it, firespider took one for the team, was probably told off-screen how short fused her father is and what happened to her mother, saw him in action and figured there is no way her charm lv 90 & speech lv 100 could “talk no jutsu” him out of brutally beating the preg girl. It was him or her, perhaps at some point once preggirl cools down and gives her situation some thought, she’ll realize how in a direct/indirect way, she was saved and maybe even reappear later to thank them.
Or maybe Maggie just got hungry at that moment.
