Ally won daily. She lacks superpowers, but she also fought an invulnerable demigod on a regular basis and won. By resorting to shit like lighting him on actual fire. Fighting something that actually dies when you kill it is a relative cakewalk.
Pasqualo, by contrast, goes into fights assuming he can just tough out the pain. He hardly even considers dodging, so he’s taken by surprise when lo and behold he can be killed (until Aurora installs his backup heart anyways). Aurora’s never been in a fight period and doesn’t understand that things like punching hurt, she might not have even been aware that she could be knocked out.
It’s all kind of a stretch and Gob still managed to make 13 pages of action mostly consist of talking heads but ah well.
Still you think he might have learned a thing or two from her. Remember that one note vampire chick? His fist was all bloody so he must have gotten some kind of “POW, GANGSTA SHIT!” in.
I always assumed that because they’re dead, they’re immune to hellbeast-kun’s touch. Pasq may be mostly regenerative cyborg and Aurora may be an Angel, but that puts them on the alive end of the spectrum and thus they’re susceptible to his touch which seems to leave persistent damage indicated by them turning red. The zombies on the other hand are biologically dead so any damage done doesn’t really matter. That’s why Skeezy E can still operate despite being consumed by the Hellbeast.
You know, somebody will come into the /co/ threads every thread and say that It Hurts!! is shit because of it’s crude visual style. And that’s funny, because I love how It Hurts!! looks. It’s basically what would happen if you gathered every pre-2010 Newgrounds flash, put them in a blender, and turned the whole thing into a comic. Really, that goes for every aspect of It Hurts!! That’s what I seriously love about it.
Keep chugging along, and keep doing It Hurts!! in Flash. I don’t think any of us would have it any other way.

This is confusing… Aurora can pretty much send all those zombies to the surface of the Sun but cant handle a red balloon that is being decimated by zombies?
Aurora had no business getting taken down; it was a sheer stroke of luck that the Hellbeast himself admitted when his fake out actually worked.
The Hellbeast is like Deoxys. Rediculous attack power and speed, but surprisingly fragile.
