Yeah I’d never put foreshadowy stuff in file names. Like good ol’ Monty said, it’s just random stuff. Every now and then I’ll put goofy comments on the comic in the filename. Like “what a jerk” if someone’s being mean or something.
Ahh. Well yeah. The explosion panel is a front-view shot. The grenade zooming towards the eye wouldn’t look right if that was from a front view. And I didn’t want to do a side-view explosion because that was the angle during Poop’s detonation and I wanted that to be its own unique explosion angle not to be copied again… To honor his sacrifice. 🙁

The explosion is in front of his eye. I’m not trying to be a dick; I honestly don’t see what you’re seeing. If you could explain in further detail I would appreciate it.
Only thing I can think of is that kind of grenade does not make a big flashy pyrotechnic blast. It’s more loud bang, smoke, and lots of horrible little jagged bits that shred and puncture material.
If Hollywood can make a fragmentation grenade explode in a pretty red-orange bloom of fire and you won’t pitch a fit, you probably shouldn’t then do it to some asshole drawing a cartoon about zombies fighting hellbeasts by himself on the internet. This isn’t a war documentary, you know.
Y’know Gob, you’re art is really getting good! (Not that it was bad before; I love how you draw expressions.) I know you draw in Flash, but maybe in your spare time you could check out a free program called Krita. It’s like Gimp but with less bullshit. Might be easier to use.

Hey, I don’t mind personally, I just couldn’t figure out the reason myself.
Maybe Hellbeasts’ eyes contain highly unstable or flammable material, and the grenade just was the catalyst for the Eye-splosion.
I think people are under the impression that HB’s entire head has exploded.
